Renewable Hydrogen Business Opportunities in Latin America
Matchmaking session between Latin American renewable hydrogen project developers and solution providers from The Netherlands
Monday 13 May, 08:30 – 12:00
Rotterdam, The Netherlands
Latin America is set to become a key player in the emerging global renewable hydrogen sector, due to its abundance of wind, solar, and hydropower resources. Moreover, its access to shipping routes on both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans grants it privileged position to become an important supplier of renewable hydrogen and its derivatives to European and Asian markets. Most countries in the region have developed ambitious national hydrogen strategies and an increasing number of hydrogen projects are currently being developed.
The Netherlands, too, is playing an important role in the global hydrogen sector: not only is it a gateway to North-Western Europe due to its location and existing infrastructure, it is also home to a rich ecosystem of research institutes, industrial and logistical partners offering a wide-ranging portfolio of technologies, knowledge and services that cover every step in the hydrogen value chain, from electrolysis to transport and storage of hydrogen and a range of applications across sectors such as industry, road and maritime transport and residential heating.
This session will bring together hydrogen project developers from Latin America, and Dutch providers of technologies for hydrogen production, transportation, storage and safe use. The session will provide an overview of the most promising renewable hydrogen projects in Latin America, followed by individual match-making meetings for participants.
It is organized jointly by Embassies of the Kingdom in The Netherlands in Latin America, their Regional Business Development Latin America team, The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), and Holland House Colombia.
Are you a hydrogen project developer in Latin America looking for state-of-the-art solutions to empower your project for renewable hydrogen production, storage, and/or transport? Then register here by 5 April 2024 for this business match-making session.
Please note that match-making will only be available for a limited selection of high-potential renewable hydrogen project developers and solution providers.
